January is for...

January is for...

Not keeping resolutions:

I will blog every day in the New Year!

Yep, that one went well, happy 2018! Welcome to my first blog of the year!

Trying new things:

I have been slightly more successful with this one as I am starting my own radio show for a local station. Though I have to do it all at home and I can’t figure out how to send it, so hopefully I will get it sorted before the end of the year. Though right now I am not so sure.

Meeting new people:

Last week I went to a lecture given by an author John Eddleston. He has written some fascinating true crime books, and he gave an enthralling talk called ‘The most dangerous weapon in the world.’ I can now make characters in my written fiction do truly gruesome things thanks to this man.

Looking forward to things:

I have booked tickets to go and see one of my favourite authors Peter James, he is going to be talking about his life, his books, there will be a Q and A and free wine. What more do I need to look forward to?! Oh, yeah, a night with Ant Middleton, no sorry it is called ‘An evening with Ant Middleton’ but almost the same! He served in the elite forces and is going to be chatting about his life and his TV shows. If you don’t know who he is, look him up now!

To not argue about silly things:

I just failed as I was writing this because me and my husband (still odd saying that, actually it is the first time I have written HUSBAND, wow what a grownup I am...!) anyway, we argued because I put the dog outside in the rain. HE IS A BLOODY DOG AND A HUSKY AT THAT. Well I stormed upstairs and my husband, sent me a picture with the dog on the floor with a blanket saying ‘Why Mummy? I thought you loved me?’ How silly.

For doing things you didn't do last year:

The bottle caps in the picture at the top is part of an art project I thought about doing. I was going to cover my kitchen table in them, pour resin over the table and I imagined it to look really cool. Now I just make bottle cap letter pictures with them.

For making promises:

I will blog again soon, but I can’t tell you when...
